Facing the development and competition of globalization, ability of reading English would allow students to move internationally, and to adapt to the international society in the future. Although China has been implementing English education since the third grade of primary school, the large amount of reading required to build English ability has not been able to cope with the great promotion of various stages of learning, one of the reasons being that the library in China does not know how to effectively promote English reading. We hope to assist the children of low-income members, guide appropriate reading and develop the habit of reading English through simple and easy methods.

A. 3 volunteer groups

1. Read English books and storyteller Groups

       (1) English story volunteers tell stories

       (2) English story volunteers use video tools to guide students in reading English books

2. Assisting students in selecting books (Public Resource Collection Group)

       (1) Recommended graded bibliography

       (2) Recommended bibliography

       (3) Recommended at home and abroad small and medium-sized and public libraries recommend reading bibliography

       (4) Recommend free e-books and resources

3. Hold English reading speech contest (National English reading heart speech contest processing group)

       (1) Co-organized with the Taiwan Masters University, central plains university general knowledge center, Rotary Club (in negotiations), Taiwan Reading Association

       (2) Each stage of study to select 10 books, participants must read 10 books, and in the field to draw a book in the form of a book, share reading, the winners give prizes and medals and prizes, the team will be the book video on Youtube to share.

B. Who we serve

Currently a member of our Union and those who meet all of the following conditions:

       (1) The children of our members, limited to domestic high school/vocational, or students below high school.

       (2) Members of this Association have proof of low income. Third, volunteer recruitment

　　面對全球化發展與競爭，英語能力是讓學生得以國際移動，未來可以適應國際社會最基本的能力。我國雖然自小學三年級開始實施英文教育，但建立英文能力所需的大量閱讀，卻未能配合各學習階段大步推動，原因之一乃在國中小圖書館不知如何有效的推動英文閱讀。本會希望透過簡單易行的方法，協助低收入會員之子女、引導適性閱讀、並養成英語閱讀的習慣。

一、 志工團服務項目

1.    閱讀英文書及說故事組
       (1)    英文故事志工說故事
       (2)    英文故事志工以視訊工具指導學生閱讀英文書
       (3)

2.    協助學生選書 (公共資源徵集組)
       (1)    推薦分級書目
       (2)    推薦得獎書目
       (3)    推薦國內外國中小及公共圖書館推薦閱讀書目
       (4)    推薦免費電子書目及資源
     

4.    舉辦英文閱讀心得演講比賽 (全國英文閱讀心得演講比賽辦理小組)
       (1)    與台師大圖資所、中原大學通識中心、扶輪社(洽談中)、台灣閱讀協會合辦
       (2)    每一學習階段選出10本書，參賽者須閱讀十本書，並於現場抽一本以說書方式，分享閱讀心得，得獎者給予獎+牌及獎品，本團將說書影片放到Youtube分享。

二、服務對象 – 本會會員並且符合下列所有條件者

     (1)    本會會員子女, 限國內在學之高中/職、或高中以下學生.

     (2)    本會會員具有低收入證明者.
